Questions About CBD

What is CBD?

CBD (Cannabidiol) is a non-psychoactive compound of the cannabis plant and is the most abundant cannabinoid found in hemp. CBD is a great natural option for people looking for relief from inflammation, pain, anxiety, and other ailments, without feeling tired or uneasy. Clinical research has demonstrated CBD’s potential as a treatment for a wide range of conditions, including arthritis, diabetes, high blood pressure, chronic pain, and many neurological disorders.

Is CBD Legal?

Yes. Under the 2018 Farm Bill, CBD derived from Hemp Seed Oil that has less than 0.3% THC by dry weight is federally legal.

What is the difference between Full Spectrum, Broad Spectrum, and Isolate CBD?

One of the many questions we get is the difference between each type of CBD oil. Simply put, a true Full Spectrum Oil should contain all compounds present in hemp, including trace amounts of THC up to the federally legal amount of >.3%. Broad Spectrum CBD oil is twice distilled, meaning that it still conatins some of the natural compunds found in hemp, but all THC has been removed. Isolate CBD oil is oil that is 100% CBD with no THC, additional compounds, or terpenes in it. Many brands use each one of these terms loosely, so be aware of what each type of oil should contain.

Are there any side effects from taking CBD?

CBD is considered safe and should not produce any adverse side effects in most people. However, it is always recommended to consult with a physician before adding any supplement to your diet, since everyone processes supplements differently.

Will I fail a drug test taking CBD?

No, CBD will not cause you to fail a drug test. Since drug screens are only searching for a specific Cannabinoid, THC, you would never fail a drug test for CBD. Furthermore, even though Full Spectrum Oil has trace amounts of THC within each dose, one would have to consumer upwards of 5 times the average daily dose to result in a false positive.

Can I give CBD to my pets?

Yes, CBD is safe to give to your dog or cat so long as it contains Zero THC, meaning it would need to be a Broad Spectrum or Isolate CBD Oil. That being said, it is always best practice to only buy CBD that is made at a lower dose for pet consumption, and consult with your veterinarian before use.
